We’re thrilled at the nomination of The Garden Project, Brazilian Edition, as finalist of the 2020 British Council ELTons Awards within the Local Innovation category.
The Garden Project is a 3-level Project Based Learning (PBL) curriculum for pre-primary and early primary. In countries where English is not the native language, it is used as an innovative way to learn English as a second or foreign language, by growing their very own Garden in the Box, documenting their learning in their Student Journals through the Wonder, Observation and Investigation of nature.
The Brazilian Edition is an homage to the most Biologically Diverse country
The Garden Project - Brazil Edition - is an homage to Brazil, the country with the greatest Biodiversity in the World.
The Brazilian edition, is fruit of the collaboration with Macmillan Education do Brasil involving extensive research, which adapted learner and teacher resources to reflect the great variety in Brazil’s flora, fauna, fruit and vegetables to provide an authentic purpose for language learning within a context, children in Brazil, can identify with. It is an homage the country with the greatest biodiversity, and a reminder that learning is rooted in culture and our natural environment.
